Quest for the Origin of Particles and the Universe
The Kobayashi-Maskawa Institute (KMI), Nagoya University will host the 7th KMI International Symposium on “Quest for the Origin of Particles and the Universe” (KMI2026) from November 9 to 11, 2026.
The symposium aims to review the current status and future prospects of cutting-edge research in particle physics, astrophysics, and related fields, while fostering interdisciplinary collaborations toward understanding the origin of particles and the Universe.
This year's symposium will also serve as the Kick-off Meeting for the Dark Matter International Research Center (DarMa), providing a forum for researchers from diverse fields to explore new opportunities for international collaboration in dark matter research.
Date
November 9 (Mon) - 11 (Wed), 2026
Scientific Program
The scientific program will consist of invited talks on recent theoretical and experimental achievements and prospects in:
- Particle physics at energy frontier (LHC) and intensity frontier (SuperKEKB, J-PARC)
- Fundamental physics with neutrino, neutron, muon
- High energy hadron physics at zero degree
- Astrophysics with gamma-ray, X-ray, radio-wave, and gravitational waves
- Dark matter physics
- Cosmology, dark energy, gravity, and string theory
- Applications of machine learning
