Description
The Belle II experiment at the SuperKEKB collider pursues a broad program of precision measurements in flavor physics and searches for physics beyond the Standard Model. As the recorded dataset approaches 1 ab-1, improvements in accelerator and detector operation are enabling sustained data collection at high luminosity.
This talk will review the current status of SuperKEKB and Belle II and highlight selected physics results, with particular emphasis on tau-lepton physics, to which the KMI group makes significant contributions. Operation progress and challenges at higher luminosity will also be discussed.
